Caerleon RFC pride in youth development.
Over the last couple of seasons Caerleon RFC have produced a number of Dragons (senior) players including Lewis Roblyn (now with Ealing Trailfinders) Angus O’Brien, Harry Keddie, Max Williams and current Welsh international Tyler Morgan.
A number players currently playing in the premiership include Matt O’Brien, Kyle Taylor, Curtis Ayling, Keagan Bale (all Newport) Mat Thomas (Bargoed) Bryce Morgan (Llanelli) Ben Snell (Cross Keys).
Chris Laing, Chris Macey, Adam Brake and Leighton Belamore all having spells at Pontypool.
The 1st team are currently competing in Division 1 East, the 2nd team have grown in strength with all sides throughout the club encouraged and coached to play an attractive brand of rugby.
The club have a flourishing mini and junior section with teams right through all age groups, next season the current under 16’S side will take the big step and move up into youth rugby.
The youth team are currently looking for under 17 /19 player’s to further strengthen the squad for next season.
